On December 6th, Finns living in Latvia gathered to celebrate Finnish Independence Day. Members of the local Finnish community met at the cozy Karjala Grill Bar in Old Town Riga to enjoy traditional Finnish food and watch the annual Independence Day reception from the Presidential Palace — Linnan juhlat, hosted this year by President Alexander Stubb and Suzanne Innes-Stubb. The reception welcomed around 1,800 guests and was broadcast nationwide.
🔹 We look forward to many more shared moments, friendships, and celebrations within our growing community. Let’s continue building strong connections between Finland and Latvia — together we make our community thrive!
🔹A warm thank-you to Jana Steinerte and Hewa Karim for organizing such a wonderful evening at the Finnish Karjala Grill Bar!
New members are welcome to join the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia (FCCL) !
