The Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia was proud to have our Board member, Hannu Parviainen, represent us at Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia (FICIL) 28th High Council Meeting with the Latvian Government and Prime Minister Evika Siliņa today.
During the meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers, FICIL presented recommendations from its working groups, leading to a constructive and open exchange of views.
Prime Minister Evika Silina: "Significant agreements have been reached with foreign investors in areas important for the long-term development of Latvia. Attracting new foreign investors is important for Latvia, and equally important are the investors already working here, who over the years have become reliable and valuable partners. Together we can also tackle very large-scale issues such as cutting red tape, human capital policy, energy and so on. Investors will always be welcome in Latvia, and our mutual dialogue will be open and productive!"
