✈️ World-class ultralight aviation, proudly made in Latvia
On June 11, members of the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia (FCCL) together with representatives of the Finland-Latvia Business Association from Finland had the opportunity to visit Tarragon Aircraft — a Latvian company creating some of the world’s most exceptional ultralight aircraft.
The visit took place at Tarragon’s production facilities in Mangaļsala, Riga, just before the FCCL Garden Party 2026.

✈️ Tarragon Aircraft opened its doors and gave us an impressive behind-the-scenes look at how an ultralight aircraft is created — from raw materials to a finished flying machine.
We explored the production workshops and saw the complete manufacturing process: how carbon fiber materials are prepared, cut, shaped, heated, cured, processed, and transformed into advanced aircraft components.
A particularly interesting detail — Tarragon aircrafts are painted, not wrapped, ensuring premium quality, durability, and a flawless finish.
✈️Every aircraft is custom-built according to individual customer requirements. Today, Tarragon’s main export market is the United States, with additional customers across Europe. The company produces around 40 aircraft per year, proving that world-class aviation innovation can successfully grow from Latvia.
What makes Tarragon special is its clear vision — to create aircraft that are lighter, faster, and more advanced than anything else in the ultralight category.
This was one of the most popular FCCL company visits — and it was easy to understand why.
A big thank you to the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and Gatis Ozoliņš for arranging this valuable company visit, and to FinnCham.
✈️Special thanks to the Tarragon Aircraft management and team for the warm welcome, excellent organization, and for sharing your inspiring journey with us.
